Washer Service

Washer and DryerAll CMS vendors are certified to perform third party services in a professional and courteous manner. All vendors are trained, background checked and meet all insurance requirements necessary to ensure a safe and productive service experience.

Prior to a move:

  • Inventory washer location and verify working condition.
  • Test fill, drain and spin cycles.
  • Shut off water supply, disconnect lines and vacuum all water out of all connections and drain assembly.
  • Wrap and label all parts and place in drum.
  • Block or install drum bolt kits for transit.
  • Wrap instrument panels for transit.

Upon arrival at destination:

  • Confirm set-up location and floor condition prior to assembly.
  • Validate integrity of all water connections and plumbing.
  • Secure drain hose and drain hose coupling.
  • Level washer.
  • Verify working condition of washer through fill, drain and spin cycles.
  • Test condition of lid shut off assembly.
  • Provide a working condition report to customer.

Front Load Washer Service

Prior to a move:

  • Verify working condition and inventory of front load washer and its location.
  • Perform all washer service steps in addition to the installation of manufacture bolt kit if required.
  • Properly install and mark locations of all shipping braces.
  • Label with approved stick-free masking tape regarding information on bolt kit install for destination technician.

Upon arrival at destination:

  • Inventory front Load washer and its location prior to service.
  • Verify paperwork and location of bolt placements.
  • Remove all shipping braces preceding washer service.
  • Perform all washer service steps to insure a successful installation.
  • Level washer and test spin cycles for any vibration in drum unit.
  • Secure all hoses with zip ties and check for leaks.

Dryer Services

Prior to a move:

  • Inventory and inspect dryer location, and verify proper operation.
  • Disconnect venting and remove electrical plug from socket.
  • Locate and close gas shut-off valve on any gas dryer.
  • Tape, cap and test all gas lines complying with local plumbing codes.
  • Educate each customer of the one-time use requirement for all flexible gas lines.
  • Verify all needed parts for safe reassembly and note on the work order to ensure a prompt and efficient reassembly.
  • Wrap the control panel and package and secure all loose parts inside drum.

Upon arrival at destination:

  • Survey and inventory the dryer and its location for safe operation and condition.
  • Comply with all local electric codes for safe dryer connection.
  • Tape and connect all gas lines with new flex line complying with all local plumbing codes.
  • Test for gas leaks and install aluminized venting for gas dryer connections.
  • Install and secure all dryer venting and unobstructed flow of exhaust.
  • Level appliance and verify operation.

Icemaker Line Service

Prior to a move:

  • IcemakerInspect and verify working condition of the icemaker unit.
  • Inspect and inventory all floors and items associated with icemaker service.
  • Protect floors when moving refrigerator to access water line.
  • Locate the shut-off valve for water line to remove the ¼-inch line at source then cap.
  • Remove line and pump solenoid from back of unit and properly label, wrap and place in refrigerator.
  • Mark location of solenoid on paperwork for destination technician.
  • Remove the water filter when present and drain.
  • Check all water sources again for proper capping before leaving customers home.

Upon arrival at destination:

  • Inventory install location and unit prior to service.
  • Protect floors when moving refrigerator unit for access.
  • Inspect all water lines for any deficiencies.
  • Connect lines properly and check for leaks.
  • Inspect filters for corrosion and mold prior to assembly.
  • Inspect all electrical connections to solenoid.
  • Check icemaker operation and advise customer to remove first batch of ice once unit reaches full service.

Refrigerator Door Service

Prior to a move:

  • RefrigeratorInventory refrigerator door units and their location.
  • Remove doors based upon manufacture requirements.
  • Pack and label all door parts for reassembly.
  • Drain and secure all water lines from ice maker and water filtration systems.
  • Disconnect, inventory and secure all door electronics and their connections.

Upon arrival at destination:

  • Verify door location and condition prior to connection.
  • Inspect integrity of all water systems and electronics prior to their connection.
  • Secure, level and align refrigerator doors to insure proper operation.
  • Test all water and electronic features before leaving.

Stackable Units and Pedestal Drawers

Prior to moving:

  • Inspect and determine a safe and proper way of dismantling and taking down the stacked dryer from its washer base.
  • Carefully disconnect and lift dryer and washer appliance off their pedestal stands.
  • Inspect, label and wrap all parts and brackets, and place in dryer for safe keeping.

Upon arrival at destination:

  • Inspect install location prior to service.
  • Properly lift dryer into place and safely secure to washer base.
  • Safely place and secure washer and dryer units to pedestal drawer stands.
  • Level and secure stackable systems and pedestal units for safety and operational efficiency.
  • Run full cycle with all units to insure all systems are balanced and working properly.

Water Product Service

Water SoftenerWater products include the disassembly or installation of water softeners, reverse osmosis systems, water purification systems, and instant-hot units.

Prior to moving:

  • A licensed plumber will complete the disconnection and proper closure of all existing water lines.
  • Diagram and photograph water system prior to disconnecting to assist in reassembly.
  • Advise customer of any faulty or corroded connections during disassembly.

Upon arrival at destination:

  • Verify and advise of working conditions of unit assembly.
  • Complete all connections and modifications with a licensed plumber complying with all local plumbing codes.

Dishwasher, Oven and Microwave Service

Prior to moving:

  • Inventory dishwasher, oven or microwave and its locations prior to service.
  • Discuss any plumbing needs with the customer prior to disassembly of dishwasher.
  • Cap and shut off water, gas and electrical lines in compliance with all local plumbing and electrical codes.
  • Inform the customer of any deficient product and make notes on the work order to ensure a prompt and efficient reassembly.
  • Pack and secure all loose items prior to transit.

Upon arrival at destination:

  • Verify the location and proper supply lines for connection.
  • Insure that all connections comply with local plumbing and electrical codes.
  • Confirm operation and connection integrity.
